Add vinegar to baking soda. Drop food dye into oil. Melt crayons. Mix things that separate, bubble, dissolve, or change shape—and point a camera at them.
I’m fascinated by the small transformations happening around us that are easy to miss in real time. Time-lapse compresses those changes, revealing movement, patterns, and unexpected moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. Sometimes I create the conditions for a reaction; other times I point the camera at something familiar and let time-lapse transform the way I see it.
I shoot and edit the videos in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, experimenting with timing, color, framing, and movement. I also search for public-domain music and pair the footage with sound, often editing around moments when the natural movement in the video lines up with the rhythm or mood of the music.
Mostly, they're an excuse to experiment: set something up, see what happens, and turn the result into a tiny film.
